In May/June of 2008, Kim and I took a vacation. Back to Wisconsin to visit with friends and family
Day 2/24 May - continued: We spend the day relaxing, taking some pictures and sitting around the campfire. It's a lazy, sunny day, and I even manage to take a little nap. As afternoon approaches my sister, Alice her husband Leonard, and all the kids show up. Even Justine is there, with her new baby, Grace. We have a nice family dinner with my family. Unfortunately, Eileen and Kevin couldn't make it up today. We'll see them later... For now, we spend the evening sitting around the campfire, and retire after sunset. We're staying at the Shaffer Park motel, just outside Crivitz, Wisconsin. The room is a cozy suite with kitchenette and two queen size beds.
Day 3/25 May: We slept from 2200-0700. We got a good nights sleep and took a shower in the morning, before heading back over to my parent's place. We had a bite to eat for breakfast, and joined my mother for Sunday services at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Crivitz, Wisconsin. On the way back, we get lost. Followed the GPS, against mom's recommendation, and found out how inaccurate a GPS device can be.
After breakfast, I spent a couple of hours fixing there TV setup. With the recent addition of satellite TV, their DVD and VHS were no longer connected to the TV, and I spent some time correcting the situation. Afterwards, we had a spot of lunch and relaxed around the campfire for a second day.
