Day 8 (Jun 29): On the eighth day of our vacation we enjoyed a hot air balloon ride - Up, up and away! in a silent ride, high above Colorado. The views were magnificent, and the weather fantastic. Floating high above the busy city, we enjoyed the spectacular views and serene experience.

After the ride (we were up in the air for a little over an hour, but the event took more than four hours total), we drove over to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. We took the guided tour, watched a movie (history of the park/area), and shopped in the gift center.
